We're on puppy watch!  Coffee and Rhombik pups are due June 14th.  The xray reveals 4, but could a 5th be hiding?

  American Journey Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil.

I have three Cardigans that are in double digits, 11, 12 & 14.  I do like the added benefits of a fish oil for the old dogs, especially for their joints.  If you don't believe me, google is your friend.

 It is nice to know where the ingredients come from for my dogs,  I am very happy with the sourcing of this product being from the USA and wild caught salmon. 

The best part of this product?  Is the dispensing!  There is NO MESS!  A simple squeeze into their dish is all it takes.  I do not measure, I just give a small squeeze... I personally believe the dosing directions to be a bit extravagant.  I am very careful with over-supplementing, as in many cases less is more.

This is definitely a product I will be using on a daily basis and I hope you will give it a try too!

Now it is time for all of us to rest.

Reminiscing, and the future

As I was bathing my oldest dog today, I was reminiscing about where we started fifteen years ago and the path we are currently taking in Cardigans.

Our first Cardigans, Tristan, Demi and Cole, have all left this earth.  Our second generation, Sabrina and Luther, are now mature veterans.  Life other than dogs has kept us out of the show ring for the last couple years, but we are excited about what the future holds. Youngsters, Gatsby and Flora, bring in stunning attributes from other well respected breeders and we are excited about showing them.

In the meantime, we are planning our next litter.  This litter will be linebred on Luther through two of his sons.  The sire will be CH Merrythought The Keeping Quilt, a grandson of Rocky, and the dam is our "Coffee", Beistshemesh Cafe Au Lait, a daughter of Sterling.  All puppies will be black and white with brindle points.  I cannot begin to explain the excitement I have for this stunning pedigree!

Five Weeks

The puppies have now become little dogs!  They are very good about using their litter box and enjoy their three meals a day.  Momma still checks in on them.  Here are some more photos.

Please excuse the lack of the web cam at the end of the week.  We had a tragedy with one of our adult dogs, and it was just one less thing I had to do to get through.  I hope you all understand.

Godspeed, Hush

Some just steal your soul with them when they leave us, and Hush was one of them. A freak accident took her from us on Thursday. My heart is broken, my heart dog is gone.

Four Weeks

The pups are growing like weeds and are now little dogs.  They use their litter box pretty reliably to potty, keeping their papers 80% clean!  They are enjoying their meals of Eukanuba Weaning Formula, Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy Food (soaked until soft) with a splash of The Honest Kitchen Keen.  They also enjoy playing with their toys.  I say they are pretty happy puppies!

Three Week Update

The pups have now officially moved into the living room to be in the midst of all the goings on.  They also have the Puppy Sounds CD playing for them a few times a day to get them used to all different sounds and noises.  The TV is left on for them as well.
