Meet Brandy. She is a 12 yr old shepherd mix female (40-50 lbs) that gets along with everyone and everything. She came from a bad home and then was left to die in her own home when the owners house got foreclosed on. We are going to be the home that she will live out her last few years.
She will be our second senior citizen rescue. Since we lost our beloved Jake (scroll down on the link to see his story) last November, our house and my heart have missed having a big dog in it. And Leonard is such a wonderful man to say "YES" almost instantly.
On Tuesday we will meet her rescuer part way and bring her home for good.

Great story, and lucky dog to have such a nice family to live out her life. Thank you for sharing! :)
aww, good for you Holly! I'm coming up on the second Gotcha Day for ancient Savannah, the rescue Weim, and I think it's great adopting the older dogs. What a lucky girl Brandy is, that's for sure! I'm sure she'll be a great addition to the family. :-)
what a good heart you both have.
