Good stuff, bad stuff and ... deja vu?

1. I miss the pups. Star & pups are doing great. Star's humans missed them too and are now happy to have everyone back so they can watch them grow before their eyes. I guess it evens out.

2. I hate the real estate game.
Our contract expires 4/11 and I can't wait. I spent all day trying to get things back in order from an insanely crazy weekend for a 6:30 pm showing. They were early, it was chaos with the dogs as I had just fed them (hoping to have them fed & happy before people came) and the people had no interest in the house and never came in. That is our last showing. I can't do it again as I have to focus on getting ready for Kansas.

3. Hips again. We xrayed Chloe. I sent them in to both OFA and OVC to see how bad they think they are. There is no way they should pass. This makes me sit back and think of all the people who say bad hips never bother a Cardigan. Chloe at the age of 2 is sound running around and playing but she cannot jump in our vehicle or on our bed, which my other dogs can. Needless to say I am very disappointed. She will never be bred.

4. Deja vu or deja bleu?

Day 2

Here they are on day 2!
black girl (15 oz.), blue boy (14 oz.), black boy (18 oz.)

Thank you, my friends.

As many of you know, we lost Star's mother, Demi, during a c-section, when Star was born. I was devastated beyond belief, but thankful for her gift to us of her pups to go forward with. This is only my second litter since then.

When Star was just not progressing in her labor and the call was made to take her in to the clinic, I was calm and collected. Everything went smoothly. It was a long night. I was home alone and still had to take care of my other dogs and get the new family settled in. It was after 3:00 am before I was able to go to bed. Keep an ear open for the pups, I only had 3 hours of broken sleep.

When I woke yesterday morning and read our Mare Stare thread and with all the support from you all here on my blog, I saw how many people were praying for us, I knew that the Lord was with us that night. There is no other explanation for how I was able to handle the situation, and have it go as stress-free and smoothly as it did, without Him being there for us. So THANK YOU my friends for sending those prayers.

We have puppies!

Holly is dog tired, so this is Katrin filling in. Holly reports that Star had 3 babies- 1 blue boy, 1 black boy and 1 black girl via C-Section at around 11:30pm last night, March 18th.

Mum and puppies are now home and doing very well. Star is being a stellar mother!

While we wait...

I am going to turn the cam and my computer off for a few hours as the computer needs a break.

For your viewing pleasure...

The web cam is up!

You can visit us here.

NOTE: Here is the link for Mare Stare cam help. Tech support is also great.

We have found that it cannot be viewed on the newest version of Firefox. I keep my computer at V2, not V3. I recommend using IE if Firefox will not work for you.

As one finshed, one started!

What a great weekend it was for the Luther kids in the Pacific Northwest! Le'o sent us a note that her beautiful Panda was WB & BOW in Seattle for her first two points yesterday! Congrats!!

Congrats to team Sterling, team Ransom and good news for Star!

Luther is very proud to announce his first Champion son!!

A BIG CONGRATS to Kim, Leo & Sterling!
Sterling finished his Championship yesterday by going WD/BOW for 2 points! Thank you Kim Kiefer for letting me know of the great news! I will post his win photo as soon as I get it!

NEWS FLASH: Kris just reported in that Ransom had a SUPER weekend! Today he won his CPE Standard Championship!! (That's 15 Qs in Level 5.) He is now officially C-ATCH Visions Steal a Million RN OAP OJP NAC TG-N ChST!

And, not to be out done, Bette, also did very well at the trial and is just 1 Jackpot and 2 standard Qs away from her C-ATCH! Good going you guys!!

And we are so happy to report that after an xray yesterday to do a headcount, the ultrasound was WAY off! Star is expecting 3 (not 8) wee ones. *happy dance* I so love smaller litters. If you would share good thoughts and prayers for an easy whelping and healthy litter, it would be so appreciated.

The web cam should be up and running tomorrow. When it is I will share the link. For now you can see her snuggling with Leonard...

And until the big event arrives, it seems that our senior citizen of the house has taken over her whelping pool.

The best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray...

Dear friends of ours have a pair of Cardigans from me. Dylan is a handsome blue male from Sabrina's sister and CH Sno Shu Grizzly Bear ROM. Star, a beautiful black, Luther's littermate, is my pick bitch from that litter. She is the 2nd from the right in my banner.

The plan was for me to show them this year. They (the dogs, not the people) decided they wanted puppies instead. Not exactly planned but It should be a very nice breeding.

Ultrasound counted at least 8. We will have an xray done on Saturday. Then I will bring her home, get her settled in and whelp the litter.

I should have the web cam set up this weekend. Any extra eyes to watch while we wait would be greatly appreciated!

I think I may be back.... and a surprise!

For a little while anyway. Still lurking on email lists, but will try to comment on blogs. We bought a new keyboard so I have something bigger to use than the dinky one on the laptop. We also bought new "ergobead" wrist rests for both the keyboard & the mouse. This does make typing a bit more comfortable.

And the surprise... click here!
