Go Leonard, Go Zsa Zsa!

My wonderful DH was a good sport today. He showed Miss Zsa Zsa at our first match of the season. They did very well, bringing home Best Adult in Match! It was only the second time he ever showed a dog. Unfortunately he would not pose for a photo.

Devil With A Blue Dress On

Zsa Zsa is at the stage where she so pushes everyone's "buttons" and sees how far she can get away with whatever. It was as if this song was written for her.

Bluetiful!

Aren't they just beautiful? (L) Zsa Zsa (C) Emma (R) Snickers

Their beautiful markings (reversed order).
I love how they go from lots of body black to very minimal.

Leonard's sister, Susan, visited today from Syracuse. Emma thought she was the greatest!

If you could spare a prayer... and good news

Summer has finally hit here in the Northeast. The dog pool continues to get a good work out and now I wish we had a human pool to cool off in.

SAD NEWS: Chloe, new name Eva, has been missing for a week from her new home. A freak accident... she tripped up her new mom coming up the stairs to the front door. Mom falling into the door scared her and she bolted. Could have easily happened to me. She is dragging her 6' pink leash and martingale collar. No tags but she is microchipped to me (which I updated the info the day before this happened - thank you Penni & Jeri).

She was last spotted on Friday. I have been there twice over the week with my dogs, looking, laying scent, leaving smelly clothes. They are over 150 miles away and I am unable to get there this week so yesterday I mailed them a box of "fresh" clothes and dog hair. The family is doing everything right in the search... posters, ads on tv & in the paper, every internet lost pet venue they could find, a baited Have-A-Heart trap... If you can spare a prayer or good thoughts that she is reunited with them, it would so be appreciated.

ADDED INFO: Lost from Vermont Road, Tyngsboro, MA. Last seen off Groton Road.

On a GOOD NEWS note, Zsa Zsa is a born show puppy! We went to a fun match on Sunday. Zsa Zsa was a hit!

A dear friend I have known for as long as I have been in dogs, who doesn't communicate too much on the computer, came by our Element, took one look at Zsa Zsa in her crate and said "How is she related to Demi?". At the end of the day, after Zsa Zsa won the Puppy Herding Group (and Magnet placed 2nd in the Adult Herding Group), she came to me and said "She is SO MUCH like Demi, it is scary!"
*sighs* Yup, that's why we brought her north! No pictures from the match because it was TOO HOT to even think of posing for a photo.

Zsa Zsa's weekend

What a busy, but FUN, weekend I had!

Who knew I would be reunited with my SISTER!! We met on Saturday. I haven't seen her since I was 8 weeks old.Abby flew up from Florida to New York as well and lives 45 min. away. We had a great time meeting her human mum, Sheila, and PLAYING!

Today, we went to visit my cousin, Mio, who now lives in Vermont! He also flew in from Florida. What I want to know is who is getting all our frequent flyer miles?

Isn't Mio handsome?

I sat pretty (for two seconds) while Mio's human dad took my picture.

Mio wants to grow up to be just like our big cousin, Luther.

Luther supervised our game of tug.

Thanks Dave for the great picnic (we were able to eat outside between the downpours) and the fun Cardi party!

Two more photo & call name pedigrees...

Zsa Zsa's pedigree is complete.

Snickers' pedigree is 90% complete. I just LOVE the call name/registered name combos that Rita comes up with!

Zsa Zsa report

Zsa Zsa says Sunday is her day and she has hijacked the blog.

Zsa Zsa here. This all started when I was comfortably enjoying the bed with Sabrina. (Trying to keep Sabrina off the bed is a work in progress.)

Then came the bath.

And then the dryer... Mom says I was a very good girl with all of this.

Then I posed pretty for the camera.

And for some reason mom was getting all teary eyed, saying I reminded her of my Auntie...

Zsa Zsa loves Uncle Luther.

He is fun to play with!

And Luther loves his new cow toy!

Summer time fun!

Snickers teaching Zsa Zsa the finer points of snorkling...

Darla joining in on the fun...

Troy & Chloe say "No way!"

PS: Thanks for the well wishes.
Penni - good, legal drugs do work wonders! Not sure about the ones your clients know about. LOL!

Zsa Zsa on puppy cam!

I did set up my puppy cam again. I am now using ustream instead of mare stare as mac users and those of the newest firefox browsers should have no trouble viewing it. Plus, it's free!

Zsa Zsa is here!

Having to miss the early flight, Zsa Zsa arrived on a 4:22 pm flight. The Albany International Airport is in a very busy area, the most easily accessed via the Northway (I87). Unfortunately there were 2 accidents, both north & southbound, and traffic was at a standstill, and it is rush hour.

Thank goodness Leonard was able to stop in town for dinner so he was able to come along to pick up the wee one and direct me on the back roads to the airport cargo office. My friend Bonnie came along as well.

Since yesterday was our actual anniversary, I think she is a wonderful present!

I am hoping by this weekend life will get back to normal and that we will have more cute Zsa Zsa photos to share! I apologize for not answering email for those waiting ... hopefully I can catch up at some point!

She's on her way! (Oh yeah... we're back!)

Cornerstone Visions Deja Bleu

Zsa Zsa will be arriving on Wednesday!

Marked oh so similar to our beloved Demi, this little one called my name from the day she was born. The one big difference is that Zsa Zsa has two blue eyes. From the time I started in Cardis 9 years ago, I have always wanted a blue eyed blue merle. Zsa Zsa has turned out very nicely and we are very excited to have her come up north.

Horseshoe Beach, Bermuda

On a non-doggy note, Leonard & I had a WONDERFUL vacation! Bermuda was GORGEOUS (and expensive). The cruise was delightful. We are looking forward to planning another. We both pulled a sweet surprise on each other which made it even more special. I will share many more photos over the coming week.

Good stuff, bad stuff and ... deja vu?

1. I miss the pups. Star & pups are doing great. Star's humans missed them too and are now happy to have everyone back so they can watch them grow before their eyes. I guess it evens out.

2. I hate the real estate game.
Our contract expires 4/11 and I can't wait. I spent all day trying to get things back in order from an insanely crazy weekend for a 6:30 pm showing. They were early, it was chaos with the dogs as I had just fed them (hoping to have them fed & happy before people came) and the people had no interest in the house and never came in. That is our last showing. I can't do it again as I have to focus on getting ready for Kansas.

3. Hips again. We xrayed Chloe. I sent them in to both OFA and OVC to see how bad they think they are. There is no way they should pass. This makes me sit back and think of all the people who say bad hips never bother a Cardigan. Chloe at the age of 2 is sound running around and playing but she cannot jump in our vehicle or on our bed, which my other dogs can. Needless to say I am very disappointed. She will never be bred.

4. Deja vu or deja bleu?
