Meet Lucy & Ricky
Hush had two puppies today via c-section. The girl is on the left (6.5 oz) and the boy is on the right (10 oz.). Both seem to be very active and fat. Hush is being a great mum!

Getting things ready...
We're starting to get things ready! Our new puppy pen arrived and everyone, including Hush, approves of it as our new whelping box. The pig rail and bumper pads will be added. This will definitely be a big saver on my back.

What a weekend!
It started with Luther becoming the proud father of 10 on Saturday. The dam is CH Mantle Sunspark Razzle Dazzle. They have 9 boys (4 blue, 5 black) and 1 black girl - beautifully marked with NO mismarks!
Today was a super day! Hush was Winners for her 5th major (this one 4 points) to finish her championship! *Pending AKC confirmation, Hush is officially known as *CH Heritage Hill Say No Moore.

New food again...
For over a month, Emma has had urinary issues with high pH and struvite crystals. Doing loads of research and not wanting the option of Rx foods, I have switched Miss Em to a dehydrated raw food, with added meat protein and loads of water to flush the crystals out of her system. The vitamin c and cranberry supplements had not worked, so she was placed on an Rx acidifier.
The good news is that this regimen is working!!
I have been very pleased with The Honest Kitchen for providing a balanced, ready-made, non-frozen raw option! Topped with Evangers canned and we are good to go.

Got Collie?
A breed I have admired for years has been the Collie. IMHO, they are truly everything that has ever been portrayed by Lassie.
We are thrilled to announce that we are now owned by a 6 month old, smooth coat, sable & white, female named Diamond!
As what happens to newbies on most breeds coming into the dog show world… while it may be a dream to show and raise quality puppies, long timers in your breed of choice can be very snobby and rude. Not so much in Cardigans (THANK GOODNESS – my fellow Cardi people rock!) but I know it to be the case in GSDs and other more popular breeds.
Diamond’s breeder has had the dream to show and raise quality Collies, just like I have been living the dream of showing and raising quality Cardigans. She bought nicely bred dogs. She has done all essential Collie health testing. She has no mentor and no one in the show world has been very pleasant. And, it seems everyone in our local area wants a Rough Collie for a companion, not a Smooth.

She really needs to get these puppies into their own homes, sooner rather than later. The have all vaccines (including rabies), they have been CERFd, microchipped and are very well socialized!! They are crate trained, housebroken and leash trained as well.
She will let them go very reasonably to the right home, references and a fenced yard are required. And I can say that in my limited Collie knowledge, that there may be a show prospect or two!! Diamond is a lovely pup, but her one sister has “more” and if someone is interested in crossing over to the legged side, this may be your opportunity!!

My dear friend Carolyn, who now lives in Tennessee, was here to visit last week. We had to bring her the puppies! The last time she saw Sailor and Sea Sea was when they were newborns. She was in town and kind enough to drive me to the vet and stay with me all day, after Leonard & I were up all night, for the c-section.Carolyn has Sabrina's blue sister, Charm. Charm only had the one litter and her daughter Lulu (sired by Maverick, CH Sisterwood Shady Ridge Top Gun) lives in the next town with another great friend, Susan. Susan and Carolyn finally met and Lulu had a reunion with her mum!
Carolyn enjoyed being reunited with the girls and it was so good to see her. I miss having her close by.

What a great yesterday was!
What a lovely day yesterday was! We received a phone call from Kris Jansen that their Sabrina's daughter, Bette, officially known as Visions The Marked Woman MXP MJP2 XFP, was #5 Cardigan in Prefered Agility for 2011!!! Now those were her 2011 titles...Last week she finished her MJP3 and yesterday she got her 13th QQ yesterday, getting her MXP2 title! Now, these are just her AKC titles. In CPE she has her CT-ATCH!
We are so proud of Team Bette!
Not to be outdone, Miss Hush was Best of Breed over a special for another point at Elm City KC in Hartford, CT yesterday!I love days like this!
